From an early age, I began to grow in my love for Christ and the joy of worshiping Him through music. In seeking to be faithful to Christ’s calling on my life, I studied music at East Texas Baptist University and received an All-Level Music Education degree (vocal emphasis) as well as completed graduate hours at Stephen F. Austin in choral music. I also received a Master in Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Liberal Arts (English Instruction) from Dallas Baptist University. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University and hope to graduate in 2025.
One of my greatest joys is leading music with which people can worship the Lord. Over the years, I have worn many hats. My most treasured roles include growing in my role as a pastor’s wife, serving in my church, and teaching at the secondary and collegiate levels. I am involved in Student Leadership University, sponsoring students on summer trips to complete leadership training grounded in biblical principles. I also enjoy writing for Lifeway’s Devotional Magazine for Women, Journey as well as other contract writing opportunities. Covenant community in my local church where my husband serves as Senior Pastor is a joy and a privilege. Jared and I have been married for 21 years and we have four beautiful children,
I have presented lectures and mini-seminars concerning leadership, ministry, curriculum reviews, and music history. Check out my published study guide to correlate with “Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery” by Eric Metaxas for high school students.
